1956 Ford Victoria
1956 Ford Victoria - Documented showcar from new. Out of a long hibernation, and from the estate of the late Dana Pope comes this well known, documented, custom Victoria. It was purchased new in Rhode Island by Frank Balzone. He and his brother created "Star Dust", which they campaigned heavily all over the east coast. Very well written up in numerous custom and hotrod magazines from the 50's and 60's.Frank's brother was a very talented craftsman and did most of the customizing himself. Another relative out of the Bronx fashioned the vinly roof treatment and interior. The pictures will better tell the story of the modifications on this car. Google Frank Balzano Custom Ford and it should take you to a Hamb site, and a few other articles about "Star Dust" The car runs and drives very well, and is ready for someone else to take over enjoying and preserving this significant 50's show car. I'm located 1 hr north of Boston. Please call with any questions or stories you may have about this car.

Bonkers Belgian Owns 5,500 Ford Mustangs, Has Them All on Show
Bigger
collections may well exist, but Mustang mad Adelbert Engler claims his
is the largest viewable collection of scale model Ford Mustangs on the
planet. Having bought his first model at the age of eight, he has built
up his monumental collection over the years. But he wants to see and
touch them, and share them with other Stang lovers. So he converted his
Mustang restoration and repair shop (no surprise he has one of these)
located in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium, in order to display his vast
collection in a 25-meter-long vitrine reports www189.carbuzz.com
He
has every Mustang variant and version of every generation, as well as
RC pony cars and whisky bottles shaped like Mustangs. He may be geeky,
but we love guys like this.
OK OK – they are all models!!

WWII Vet Selling Off His Rare Ford Collection
“When
you get older, you get more money, you can do things. One thing led to
another,” noted John Van Buiten, a World War II veteran with an
affection for classic Fords.
Earlier this year, Van Buiten’s wife, Hester, passed away after 65 years of marriage, prompting John to decide to sell his home and his automotive treasure trove. He has since moved into an assisted living community and though he and his family have parted with some items, he affirms that not all of his valuables will go.
One such collectible is a toy truck that he gave to his son for Christmas in 1954, which at the time cost $18.75 – quite the pretty penny.
At one point, John owned 15 classic Fords – many from the ‘30's – though now his collection spans just six models. It includes a 1938 Ford V8 Deluxe Roadster, a 1911 Ford Model T, a 1931 Model A, a 1936 Ford sedan, a 1929 Ford mail truck (one of only 400), and a 1936 Ford Phaeton (the exact color and model as one given to President Roosevelt).
All of them still run and many of them have been driven in local parades and rented out for weddings. Just don’t turn up to John’s place in a Chevy. “If you had a Chevy you didn’t come in my driveway. You park out on the road,” he remarked in a Fox News interview.
