You
didn’t think Ford would just let the Raptor languish did you? They’ve
yet to make any official mention of a Raptor edition F-150 but… It’s
going to happen. The Raptor has been a complete success for Ford when it
comes to sales, and, it’s the first truck in ages to capture the
attention of non-truck people. “Car” guys know and respect the Raptor.
Consider for a minute the potential a new Raptor might have. It’s
body is aluminum, so the truck will be very light. Ford will likely keep
the 6.2-liter V8 as the standard engine, but, it is interesting to
think about the possibility of an EcoBoost Raptor. It would need a
upgraded version of the 3.5-liter V6, but, the machinery is basically
already there. Just add boost and the sky’s the limit. Figuratively speaking.
